Snowboarding for the first time

Happy Sunday all. Has anyone else ever tried snowboarding? What are your thoughts and were you any good?
I went with my 15 year old sister and two friends this morning to a Beginners Snowboarding course and found it extremely fun, exhausting and now hours later... very painful as I stretched some neglected muscles and also fell... many many times.
I learned I am not the greatest snowboarder. In fact it seems like I could not snowboard downhill for more than 25 yards without biffing it and falling over after losing balance. The rest of the class learned how to stop and turn. I sort of got these... but was not very good at it at all.
It was fun and good exercise. Have you ever tried this? Or did you do anything fun this weekend?

@maezee see thats a geoup of people id have to be around to try it lol. If i tried around people who knew how.. id quit.

That is so cool!
I never tried snowboarding before. I have gone tubing once and let's just say, if I was a boy I would have still been feeling the pain of how hard I smacked right into a tree. I like watching snow sports, but doing them, not really my thing haha!

@maezee Not really, no. Since your bottom is in the tube and everything is just trying to hold on so you don't fall out going downhill haha Which I always did fall, so I guess I didn't hold on well enough haha

I haven't and not sure if I ever will try snowboarding. I live in a country where we only have longboards and surfboards. But I think since I know how to ride a longboard, and it's called surfing on land and not water, it would be easier for me to snowboard.

@maezee It's a skateboard but with bigger boards and bigger wheels. And ti's used by the enthusiast to commute as there are different types and sizes and shapes of longboards.

Never did. No snow on my island but my hubby and I went fishing almost everyday and this is so much fun.

That's awesome that you went with other beginners as well. I have never tried it no and do not want to. I do not like the end cold. My boyfriend bought his son one for Christmas.

My grandsons are avid snowboarders and have lots of fun. Me, I'm too old for such adventures

Never snowboarded. I tried skiing once and did not take to it. But I enjoyed the drink at the lodge very much!

i think it's very fun, snowborading downhill..
but it's exhauting too..
i never snowboarding..
i want do that, but there is snowboarding in my country..
even there is no snow.. hahahahh
