Is "How I met your mother" is a kind of remake of "FRIENDS"?

I loved Barney and I loved Joye. Both tv series are amazing and I never wanted them to end. But now when I started watching both I realized mostly they had a similar kind of story. Do you too find both TV series similar.

I never got into watching How I Met Your Mother. I might watch it sometime though as it is on Netflix now I think. They seemed like similar shows from what I know of them.

They are similar yet different :) watch both.

They are similar, but not too much. I don't think it's a remake of Friends.
