How dangerous is the smartphone to your body?

Electronic things produce radiation that may be hazardous to one's bodily system. Is it true? How can we use mobile phones safely in order not to be affected by the radiation? Any idea? My working environment is filled with electronic things such as computers, Wifi connection, workers' gadgets and things like that. What I do in order not to be severely affected is every half an hour or one hour, I go out to take fresh air and do a little streching as I spend most of my time sitting. How about you dear mylotters?

I've heard that it is but I must admit it's something I don't give a lot of thought to. I love my phone and wouldn't want to be without it. I don't carry it on my body though. It's always in my bag.

Can you hear a ring if it's in the bag?

@yanzalong Not always but I will check it when I take it out and ring back any missed calls.

Just take a gap looking the screen of gadgets time to time..it's a must and try to reduce the brightness of the screen.

I have heard quite a bit about this. Not only smartphones but other forms of Electromagnetic Radiation affect us negatively. There are a few things that will help, like keeping your cellphone off of your person, at least two feet away from you. If you use a laptop, use it on battery instead of being plugged in all the time. If you have wifi, turn it off at night and when you're not using it. Look into grounding, sometimes known as earthing. It's a proven fact that we need to be grounded, more so after working with wireless technology. Himalayan salt lamps supposedly emit positive ions, so that is useful. There are other things, but those are basic. Some people are really sensitive to it and it makes them literally sick. Others don't seem to be bothered so much, but it's thought that the radiation is causing tumors and nerve problems among other things

Hope future technology will be able to solve it.

It's inevitable and yes it's true even with the regular cellular phones and not just smartphones. But there are things like the Himalayan salt lamp that could combat this but I'm not really sure how true is that.

It is a reality, the radiation produced by cellular and smartphones are dangerous. Young kids should not be allowed to use the phones and we should limit the time of our phone calls.

Honestly... They have had some studies showing the increased occurrence of brain tumors might be a result of increased cell phone use! Have you seen the increase cases of cats with cancer/ tumors is linked to them laying on phones...
A new Berkeley, California, law warns consumers about cell phone use, but what do we really know about the health risks?
