I am done with technology

My hunger for technology is satiated. I am contented with my 3G phone with no camera, I am fine with the CDs, I do not need a GPS. I am fine stopping to ask for directions and that is what those with GPS do too. Enough of that AI news. I do not want to go anywhere near there. My only fear is what if technology is shoved down our throat?

I also don't find myself using all the new technology.. don't know.. it doesn't talk to me so much. And to your question it's already shoved down our throat.. camaras.. phones.. there got many information about you.

I think I have the same reaction to technology as you do. It doesn't strike a chord with me. The little I have I am content with it.

I am terrible at giving directions. If you stop to ask me you will wind up more lost then when you started lol.

Growing up and into my adulthood, I had none of that - so I know I can be "without" (for the most part ). I do not use GPS either - I can map out the course and exercise my sense of direction still. Of course technology has it's place, but it's not absolutely necessary for me to have the latest and greatest (and expensive) technology available (we still control that ).

@allknowing The upgrades can be expensive too. A friend of mine who is a "techy" says she is not going to buy into this stuff anymore. Everyone wants to keep up with current trends, but she said it's just all so unnecessary.

@much2sayUpgrades are surely not necessary. Why have two or three cameras on cell phones?

These upgrades are really not called for. We can manage life with just the basic technology.

@allknowing I don't have a mobile. Vince has one but we don't use it a lot. We have a landline.

I like the new technology and it can be so helpful. The GPS is very useful and it helps me a lot when we have a travel. This is how we could rent a car and drive in US when we had a travel. It is hard to imagine to do so without GPS.

Sorry but hunger for tech should never stop, it's an unending process of schooling for life I feel young when I know technology that much younger people do not know. To be fair tech has branched out so much that no one has a monopoly of everything. Good in some but entirely ignorant in some, that is what it has become.

I too can say that about myself - knowing more than what some youngsters know. But I know where to draw the line when it comes to upgrades.

there are several positive impacts of technology on our lives but there are several downsides too. We cannot abandon technology now but we can ensure not to let it control us..

I agree with you. Technology in moderation is good for us but there is no end to what extent they will go
