Most unexpected heavy shower

It started around six last evening and continued for atleast 3 hours nonstop. March never sees rain here and certainly not such a heavy shower with thunder and lightning. Lightning must have struck somewhere in the neighbourhood. I will have to check on that a bit later as it is quite dark outside at the moment.
The second crop of mangoes in our garden will not see the light of day as this rain will certainly destroy it all.
Wonder what the plight of farmers will be if nature behaves this way.

We are not getting much rain and all and the danger of fires is getting greater every day.

@allknowing Yes, too much rain, not enough rain, it's a problem everywhere.

Yes @BelleStarr the dangers of fire are definitely something to fear, in California also.

One good thing is that we will not have to water our garden today.

Wow I know you have a rainy Season but usually it is not in March, as you say---sorry about your Mangoes and hope they are not as ruined as you suspect!

It is common knowledge that certain fruits cannot withstand rains and mango is one of them

@Courage7 I will be watching the mangoes and hoping nothing happens to them. That is like living in hope and dying in despair (lol)

Too much rain at the wrong time, can be worse than no rain at all:(

Nothing by the nature...its we human designed the world for us that is against nature. It's the global warming that is taking toll on us. Somewhere excessive rain like yours, somewhere excessive heat like Australia, somewhere snowfalls like Arab countries. Very hardcore weather. Icebergs are unable to maintain their solidity. We are technically sound but mentally we are still unsound for it. Humans need to have an understanding for it. We should let the earth do its thing naturally. We should never try to control that.
