Interesting dinner

My mom and I are very good with, work with what you got.
When we get closer to the end of the month, we don't have a lot of money to buy things for meals. But enough to buy things like bread and milk, things that are cheap and run out quicker than most things.
But my mom decided to use what we got and got very inventive.
She sliced some potatoes, put that at the bottom, put some hamburger meat and tomato sauce on top of that and then lastly cheese. oh yeah hamburger meat had some seasoning done as well.
And it was good! Interesting, but good!
We used what we had, able to have a meal, and able to be full and that I am grateful for.

That sounds pretty good to me! I hope I can get out to the store, and the snow isn't too bad.I don't have a huge amount of food here either..but enough to get by for awhile.

Sounds good. I had almost something like that last night. I mashed the potatoes though, and put the sloppy joes over it. No cheese for me. Still very good and I went to bed full as well.

Not the biggest fan of sloppy joes haha the smell gets to me. I thought sliced potatoes sounded better, don't know why

I make meals like this for myself a lot. I make my kids what they like and what is healthy but for myself I just eat whatever doesn't cost much to save money for them. I do need to eat healthier and am and trying to eat healthier low cost meals.

We eat pretty healthy, it is just nights like these and closer to the end of the month meals get a little, not so healthy haha We try to always have vegetables or fruit on the side and cutting down on carbs.
