Bring them the flowers now

There is an ad on TV here that always makes me angry. It is for funeral insurance, and the woman on it says that she would not have been able to "say her goodbyes" after her father died if she had not had this insurance. I know it's only an ad, and the woman is only an actor, but every time I hear it, I want to shout, "Why didn't you say your goodbyes while he was alive?" It reminds me of my husband's grandmother's funeral, when some family members were standing around wailing "We'll never see her again" in spite of the fact that not one of them had bothered to visit her even once for at least seven years prior to her death. If you love someone, don't wait till their dead to say so. Don't wait for their funeral to buy them flowers. Express your love now. Visit them now. Bring them the flowers now, while they can enjoy them.

I agree. While they're alive is the best time to see them and let them know how much you love them.

Some people need to know this concern. They tend to give flowers when it is too late to do so.
