Day Twenty Three: Your middle name, and how you feel about it. My middle name is Lynn. And unlike my first name, I actually like my middle name. Plus, I think it's the best fit for my first and last name. Which is good, because I'd hate to be someone whos names don't go together. Though, I do also like Nicole and Elizabeth for middle names. Which is why my daughters middle name is Nicole. Plus, it just goes good with her first name. (:

My middle name is Christopher. I was called Chris growing up because my dad's name was Jeff also. But I go by Jeff now, because I never really liked the name Chris, although it's not a bad name. My daughter's middle name is also Nicole.

@Courtlynn My dad and I had the same first name, but different middle names. But everyone still called me Junior anyway, which I hated. But the funny thing is now I work with another co-worker who is named Jeff, and so everyone at work calls me Junior, and I love it now! haha And I don't know how it got started, but Vanny on this site calls me Junior as well.

So are you like a Jeff 2nd? or just have Jeff in common for name? I like the name Christopher, but not Chris. No idea why. Awesome sauce!

@moffittjc I mean, you have the same first name, so I kinda get it.. but since you aren't a real junior.. it is kind of weird.. lol. I used to be a fan of naming kids after the parents, until knowing how my "dad" really was - as my brother is named after him, and our older half brother.. and after what happened to my daughter. Now I would never do it - which my boyfriend isn't okay with .. but, my choice.

I didn't know that your daughter's middle name is Nicole. That was one of the middle names that we gave to our baby girl too, after a cousin of mine. My middle name is my Grandmother's first name. It isn't a common name and I don't really like it, so I would rather not mention it. Although I think that its a shame that people are jerks and can leave awful comments, I do think that you have the right frame of mind by leaving the ps at the bottom of your posts. Hopefully it will make those that need to, stop and think and maybe just maybe be a little nicer. Good idea!

Yeah, It's a name I really liked for a first name, but liked her first name way more so put them together. (: Glad our daughters have the same middle name . You certainly don't have to mention yours! Mines already on the site, as part of my username, so doesn't bother me any. That's all we can hope for, for those who need to be nicer.

@Courtlynn I only want to leave my middle name out of the discussion because I don't need it to be put down. I was given that name by my parents after my Grandmother, a very sweet and kind lady, and nobody is going to ruin her memory for me. I think that you'll understand that more then anyone else. A little more kindness is really needed on this site really soon.

My middle name is also my Grandma's first name (Victoria), but I do love it a lot. I like it more than my first name actually

My middle name fits with my first name..but other than using my initial or ocassionally as an alias with mystery shopping, I have little interaction with it.

@Courtlynn My mother used to yell at me sometimes using my first and middle name..I think that is pretty common.

@snowy22315 Yeah many do that these days. Though, my cousin calls her husband and kids by their middle names when she's yelling for them! aha.

My middle name is Renee. I love my middle name. It goes well with my first name, and coincidentally they mean the same thing. Stacy means "resurrection" and Renee means "born again." My parents didn't do that intentionally. Just a neat little fact for me, since I believe in reincarnation. My dad was the one who picked my middle name, after the old song "Walk Away Renee" by The Left Banke.
Original version of this beautiful song. Steve Martin's voice still stirs the emotions. Brings back loads of great memories. link for pictures leftbanke.nu
