No soft drinks for 3 months now

Philippines
March 26, 2018 1:28pm CST
Since last January 2018 my husband and I decided not to drink soft drinks or any flavored drinks to keep our sugar level in normal range and were trying to be healthy. We only drink plain water, tea, black coffee and green juice from fresh vegetables. So far we lose some weight, my husband blood work up was good at within normal range and hoping it will stay that way.

I wish I could drink tea and coffee black but it is so disgusting like that to me. I have to have cream..no sugar just cream. I do not and never have drank soda pop. Congrats on your healthy ways now.

True black coffee is disgusting and sometimes I can't even drink it but this is the only way to help me awake during graveyard shift.

@Courage7 Yeah, but nothing to do. I am hoping by next month I can get a day shift.

I'll admit that I drink a lot of soft drinks. Probably more than I should. It'd be hard for me to quit.

@Bhebelen14 Yes, that's the annoying part buying expensive medicines to make you heal and will get you broke.

Thank you and I am praying that I can resist the temptation of sweet foods too.

@Bhebelen14 A trick I have found. I had got down to 1 tsp sugar in my coffee, but couldn't get rid of that last bit. Now I add cinnamon instead of sugar, and it gives just enough sweetness that I don't miss the sugar at all.

You took a wise decision. Soft drinks are full of sugar, which is not good for our health.
