My shoulder is still so incredibly painful. I don't know what the hell is wrong with it but I could cry right now. I took 600 mg of ibuprofen a couple of hours ago and I might as well have taken Skittles for all the good it did. I am going to have to break down and go to the doctor after all. I thought it was getting a bit better but that obviously is not the case. I am not a wimp about pain at all so for this to be upsetting me so much means that it is pretty significant. I'm jealous of my husband's oxycodone prescription at the moment!

It started a week and a half ago. I woke up one morning and I was in crazy pain. I have no idea what happened. I've been assuming that I just slept on it funny but it is obviously more than that.

@NJChicaa I have that sort of thing happen a lot, especially when I am under stress, It doesn't make sense for there to be that amount of pain just for sleeping on it wrong, but that's what happens.

That’s awful it’s still bothering you. Is it staying the same pain or getting worse as the days go on? I think going to the doctors a good idea!

It is staying the same but it is taking a toll on me mentally which makes it seem worse.

Ugh. Hot or cold compress do anything? Would be nice if the doctors would give you more than just ibuprofen.

I know exactly the feeling of that excessive pain. I hurt my neck mowing the lawn a few years ago and when I woke up the next morning, the tears came out from the pain. I think the doc had me on Tylenol /codeine. Have you tried this one?

No I haven't. My husband keeps trying to get me to take his stuff that the doctors gave him for his post-op pain. I'm like "you just had major surgery! I am NOT robbing you of your pain medication!" Honestly, though, I think I am hurting worse than he is!

Is it possible that you could take just one, of your husband's pain medication? I know we aren't suppose to do this, but I take Jay's ibuprofen prescription once in a very great while, not very often.

That stuff would knock me out. Plus it wouldn't help me to figure out what is actually wrong. I need to just suck it up and go to the doctor either tomorrow or Monday.

Try a heating pad on your shoulder and see if that helps. I hope whatever it is it heals soon.

Eek, that isn't good. I have an awful pinched nerve in my shoulder and I know that just takes the life out of me. Perhaps one of those hot and cold patches in the mean time until you can get to a doctor.

It could be a dislocated shoulder. This can happen while you sleep of you twist or turn on it the wrong way. Best to see your doctor. :-)
