Vacation's Over

After four months in paradise, we fly home tomorrow.
My husband and I have been so busy these last few days. We've played tennis and golfed, took a sailboat on the Atlantic Ocean, had a goodbye party thrown for us in our clubhouse by Peppy Castro, a guitar player and singer, went out to brunch, lunches, and dinners with friends and neighbors, swam, sunned at our pool, and said most of our goodbyes until next December. This concludes our fifth season in Florida and was so wonderful!
Today, my husband and I will be busy closing our condo down and shutting the storm shutters.
Tomorrow, Dr. Jay, our neighbor, will drive us to the airport, and our son will pick us up.
Orville stopped by three days in a row to say goodbye. Now I'm ready to see my family and precious kitties.
I just want my myLot friends to know that I haven't forgotten about you. I shall return, but next time from 1400 miles away in front of a fireplace!

I think you may just need that fireplace burrr but I am so jealous you get to see your kitties, I miss my doggies like crazy. Fly safe and enjoy the reunion.

I'm pretty used to that fireplace until May and beyond. Ha ha! Every time I see Doodles in photos or on FaceTime, my heart clenches. I'm gonna squeeze and kiss him to pieces the second I see him. I know exactly how you feel. Soon!!!

Ah, today must be the day you are going back (boy, it always seems to go by so fast)! Florida and Orville will miss you, but you will be back next season for more fun in the sun. I hope the move back goes smoothly . . . hey, maybe you are even back already! Sorry I haven't been here much to get to all your posts and comments (it's been crazy busy here) - life happens, you know how that goes. See you when you get back home!!

I said a prayer for you this morning for a safe trip home to Connecticut. I'm glad Orville came by to say goodbye. I know you'll miss him as much as he'll miss you.
By now, you've hugged Doodles and given him many kisses, and maybe even taken him for a walk, unless you've come home to snow.

Thanks for the prayers, Val. We had a quick and easy flight. I'm glad to have seen Orville and hope to see him again,
Doodles has been hugged, squeezed, kissed, and walked numerous times. It's been crazy cold for me - one high of 59, 50, and 47 today. We had snow yesterday morning, but it melted.
Still busy settling in, but glad to be home.

@DianneN I wondered if you would come home to snow. The good thing about this time of year is that it melts quickly. I'm glad you had a safe, quick flight. I'm also glad Orville said goodbye before you left. I'm sure Doodles was happy to see you.
Now, have you remembered where everything is in your kitchen?
