I just saw 2014's "The Legend of Hercules," and ... first, I want to mention that 'that battle scene' (where Hercules' rebel army is met at the gate of Ti-rees by a group of footsoldiers & a line of archers, and the footsolders-commence to confront Hercules' army but -are shot in the back by the archers! who announce "We're with you, Hercules!") Then we come to the 'Hercules vs. Jesus'-portion of the discussion. They're both born in the same way (except that one's mother is a world-recognized queen (at the time of The Holy Infant's conception/birth) while the other is ... I don't know, a virgin teenager? ... also, Jesus was reportedly a firstborn; while Hercules' older brother is almost the biggest villain in the movie!) Now, Jesus saves us by going to Our Father God and advocating for us; but Hercules ... I forgot what I was going to say ... The point is ... what's my point again?? Oh! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Hercules is the "god-given" name of Queen Alceme's son Alcides. Since I've been a little confused over 'people's names for things' (Christmas instead of Saturnalia, but why not Resurrectimas instead of Easter?), that seemed like another 'crack in the veneer'---I guess.
