Do you over think?

Because I definitely do. Whenever I'm given an opportunity, I over think. Whether it's in case I fail or if I succeed. It doesn't really effect my work now tho because I'm so used to it or maybe because I have built a bit of self confidence after other's encouragement and of course some of the successes helped me develop it too. However, now this over thinking has got me to a point where I get over confident and start thinking of all the good that will happen when I succeed and it leaves me with disappointment in case I fail. Tho now I am working on it. I hope I get better. So do you have this bad habit of over thinking and what do you do to avoid it?

I used to overthink a lot. I found that when I'd write down my thoughts on paper that were going through my head over and over, it would help stop me from overthinking.

I used to do that and then I found myself reading what I wrote over and over again.

yes I too have a habit of overthinking but sometimes this overthinking spoils our plans so it is better to let things happen as they unfold rather than making it complicated

No, I don't have this habit. My husband is a 'what if' person. He wants to discuss all eventualities before they may happen. It's logical that potential negative scenarios don't make you happy. I refuse to join him. I tell him that there will always be enough time to think about negative consequences when the time has come. Why make myself unhappy for nothing? Maybe everything will end well. Then I'll have bothered for nothing. I'm glad that my character is like this. I don't know, however, how to change someone's thinking.

Wow you are amazing then. Keep up your good habit. Overthinking only gets destructive.

Yes. Try to write your thoughts or meditate. Meditation is very useful.
