Thanks. I think we're having a ragout affair and stir-fry as well. One lady has a lot of dietary issues so we're doing two different dishes. Poor Vince - it's his birthday but he's cooking. Luckily he enjoys it.

Pass on my birthday wishes to Vince. We tend not to celebrate birthdays much these days and we're almost 20 years younger than you and Vince. I don't see the point in celebrating something that just happens!! I don't have to do anything special to get to my next birthday other than not be stupid enough to step in front of a bus or something equally daft!! It's hardly an achievement to be celebrated!! I know, I'm a miserable sod! Part of my charm!!!

We don't celebrate them much either but the last couple seem to have been taken out of our hands a bit. And you do realise that being so miserable just shows how old you're becoming. Pretty soon you'll be a grumpy old man - without even trying!
