How was your Wednesday?

I need to say up front that I was glad I was not the school custodian yesterday. Each time they paged her it seems, someone had thrown up, or vomited as you will. Personally--I rode the bus, one of my guys was missing. Turns out he had been up all night, throwing up. I get to school and a para is missing. Same reason. Then the custodian kept getting paged to the office, and sent out to clean up.In the afternoon I filled in for the missing para. Did I tell you we are down one custodian? The other one broke her arm falling on the ice at her house a while back. So, I have been awake since 3:30. I had a head ache and jaw ache, still suffering with the tooth that got pulled on Monday. Today is Thursday. Lead teacher is gone to an Autism conference for the next two days. I hope we all survive.

Oh man I would not want to have to deal with all that vomit. Being a custodian is such a gross job. Someone has to co it but I would not want to.

I know. I can do the floor maintenance, etc. but would not want the job full time.

Well, the staff all seem to have gotten over it. Most of the kids are back. None of the staff in our program got it, so far.

So many things happened to your school! You seem to have hectic days lately and often stood in for others.

That is often the case in schools. In other ways, helping through out the school lets us see how other rooms work.

You have too many things to take care of, I am not surprised you have a headache.

I think my muscles are really tight from the extraction and it is making my jaw and neck hurt. It will be better soon.

The one student ended up being out the rest of the week. Our little section did okay. Most of the rest of the school was having State Assessment.

It seems many of the kids were sick, and that lightened the workload when they stayed home. I filled in in the afternoon in the "easy" part of the school since my student was out. So I did not go out to the horses, either.

That is one job I would go out of my way to avoid: cleaning up throw up.

Yep, not my favorite. I would do it if I had to. Actually, one of our other kids was sick the week before.

Oh, fun... not! Are you rinsing with salt water? Look up dry socket. Stay well.

Rinsing with salt water, probably not enough. Probably do have a dry socket based on symptoms and my nasty breath. Feels better this morning though.

I did not get sick. I probably have dry socket. Not severe, and online it just talks about otc meds unless it is severe. I also still have some antibiotics from my other dentist that I may take. This new dentist did not think I need them. Or maybe I will just indulge in lovely home made yogurt.

It went okay the rest of the week. One of our students was out sick Wednesday, but mom sent him Thursday. Nurse sent him home. He stayed home Friday. It made it easier for us.
