Everyone must have a phobia.. well mine is emetophobia (phobia of vomiting), I am mostly phobic of other people being sick rather than myself though.

I have a fear of spiders. I once got bit by a brown recluse and now I have two holes in my leg where the poison decentegrated my flesh. I was also very ill for quite some time.

I don't have any phobias-a phobia is an irrational obsessive fear. I think that my random fears of either being bitten by a spider or snake or of driving on ice during a snow storm are very rational fears.

I have a phobia for wasps, don't know what the correct term for it is called. The reason why I have a phobia about them is because one sting could potentially kill me, I am highly allergic to them and during the UK Summer months, wasp season I have to carry an epipen around with me so if I do get stung I can inject myself to stop me having a massive fit! So when I see one I go cold!

Sorry to hear this. All phobias are equally debilitating no matter what the trigger is.

wolfie34: its kalled Entomophobia (also known as insectophobia). A thought was that you could have apiphobia, but thats fear of bees and your fear is of wasps so that didnt connect. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insectophobia, if you feel like reading about it.

I have a phobia of spiders. I actually freeze-up when I see one. A couple of times, I have locked myself in a room and waited for my friend or hubby to arrive, just to get rid of the little thing. I have tried a few techniques to rid myself of this phobia. The most I can do now is place a bowl over a spider (depending on its size)

believe me I have tried methods too... I am not sure if there is a true cure for emetophobia because of the nature of the phobia

I have had a very wierd fobia, a fobia for drinking water. I got that from when my mom was wandering around the house, sporting a sports bottle of water with some wierd stuff put in. The idea was that you would drink around 3L of this 'water' and it would have a cleansing effect on your body.

You dont need to feel sorry, but its a nice gesture that you do. Ive started to overcome it, but its damn hard. Often id bribe myself by drinking either juice or other beverages that has a taste i like. Yea it costs a little, but rather that than slowly getting dehydrated.
