Cold, then hot, then cold, etc.

Our weather has been wildly fluctuating. We have just finished three days of beautiful, almost hot weather.
Now we will have at least two days of much colder weather.
Many people stock up on groceries, etc.in cases like this. Me, I stocked up on projects.
We drove quite some distance to a Lowe's, on impulse.
I am getting much too old for spontaneity. So, I am putting in more cupboards and getting rid of wire racks as a result of that impulse, but the driving to and from was irritating and exhausting.
I will probably be cooking, too.
I know what to do when it is cold outside.

I see some parts of the U.S. are even having blizzards! Here it's been hot. Expecting some nasty weather -severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon/night. I have enough crochet to keep me busy.

I do not mind wearing layers to adjust as I need to. Sweaters, vests, socks, boots.

@GardenGerty i hate wearing socks, like my feet free. So even if cold i wear slippers and flipflops outside lol. Though do also wear snowboots sometimes.

We are expecting the same weather this weekend. Not happy about it! But, what can you do about it?
I have to wait on baking today as we ran out of propane yesterday. I told hubby that we were close to running out. He didn't take me seriously.

@GardenGerty the propane is only for cooking and heating the water. We have kerosene for heat. Will probably need to get more next week if the weather doesn't improve.

@JudyEv I can just envision this. Early this year the kids took off jackets on the playground and they started blowing under the fence to the parking lot.

@GardenGerty I'm not keen on wind either. We used to get strong easterlies where we lived before. I had to put the horses' hay on the other side of the paddock and hope they'd get it eaten before it all blew through the fence on the other side.

@GardenGerty Well, at least it warmed up. It's going to get a bit warmer by the end of the week but I think the temperature is supposed to drop down a bit over the weekend. We shall see.

The weather here is promising to get nasty today. Freezing rain, high winds and as a result we can expect to lose our power. Will I get my laundry finished? I sure hope so.
