I am always researching eye health due to my cataract in the left eye. I am finding that there are several other foods rather than carrots(which is high in beta-carotene and alpha). Broccoli has these nutrients in it also.
Blueberries is helpful in protecting the eyes against free radical damage.
Blackberries helps to strengthen blood vessels of the eye.
Fresh or dried unsulphured varieties of apricots have a large variety of nutrients that are good for eye health. Alpha and beta carotenes, rutin, lutein, and zeaxanthin.
Flax and Chia seeds help to reduce inflammation which can cause eye issues.
Green tea protects against cataract formation.
