Do those ice pellets sting if they hit you?

I wonder why some people can live in Canada ? You should really like cold and ice. If I was Canadian I would suggest a referendum to sell the country in a public auction, and with the money to buy a few atolls in the Pacific to move the citizens.

Sounds like a plan.
Weather used to be better behaved.

@BarBaraPrz Our winter lasted only a week in March here, the rest of the time it was raining and the temperature was sweet. We had 22°C outdoors yesterday evening, and 17°C today, it is more encouraging than your ice pellets. I hope you will enjoy the spring soon.

@BarBaraPrz I couldn't believe it when I got up and the snow was falling and there was a ton of it on the ground. Fortunately it has stopped snowing but I think we are expecting more.

And it's still out there! I was hoping it would be gone when I woke up this (Monday) morning. No such luck, but it does seem to be regular rain coming down now.

Not overly cold at ground level. The ice pellets are coming from the upper atmosphere.

@BarBaraPrz I am glad it's not too cold, the ice should melt quickly.

The ice pellets are not as dangerous as the freezing rain that had been predicted. We are getting freezing rain now.

I know. It's ridiculous.
But the sun just popped out from behind a cloud. Hope it stays out.

Aren't they painful when they hit your head. ? As you said they were solid ice. So i was just wondering if they are not painful when they hit you.
