Breaking Records

Yesterday, I mentioned we had broken the second oldest record in history with this blizzard. Today, I can say we broke all records. The most snowfall previous to the past three days was 29+ inches set back in 1889. This blizzard brought in 36.2 inches of snow or 91.948 cm. In other words, we got a lot of snow.
I checked closings this morning, and there's still a lot closed as the city slowly digs out. I just saw a city bus pass for the first time this morning, so those are back in operation.
I've always wanted three feet of snow. Now, I got it. Yes, I'm happy, and will enjoy this until the temps warm and the snow melts and spring takes hold.
When I was on Twitter yesterday for a minute, I saw one of our football players was calling this snowpocolypse. I'm sure it looked like that with the whiteout we got yesterday during the heaviest day of the storm. Yesterday alone we got 12 inches, which over three days averages out a foot a day.
My notifications are done, and it's time for me to eat before I need to get ready to leave for the library while they plow the parking lot.
The picture is one I took last night by the light of the street lamp with all lights off in the house of the snow and how beautiful it looked even at night.
How is your day shaping up? Thanks for reading.

@JohnRoberts That explains a lot. I was born here, but I've lived in several locations. All nice, but there's no place better than home.

@Marilynda1225 Yeah...but in the same season one likes it, another hates it. In any event, why is it happening in April?

Hi Valerie. I think this is what you mentioned to me yesterday about having heavy storms. Is the snow storm getting worst everyday?

@just4him I"m afraid we didn't get as much as I thought. I saw and heard it falling in the early morning hours before I went to bed, but nothing seemed to be wet the next morning. The wind was blowing, and the plants I had hoped God would water looked stressed. The soil was loose and quite dry -- even in the pots.

Glad that you are enjoying it. You also need to keep it there and right now it is trying to sneak into Ohio again. I do not like!!!!

@just4him Yes southern Ohio has had enough to be a problem The last I seen was a level 2 snow emergency for some areas. I am far enough north that so far we have been good. Just a dusting

@wolfgirl569 I'm glad you didn't get a lot of snow, since you don't want it.

Sunday night we had really bad storms here. I had power through it. Yesterday we had nice weather, but I didn't go out. I was frustrated because a movie I taped didn't tape all the way and my computer was acting up. Today it's a little cooler. I went to get the mail, but I had to go to mailbox twice to get my best friend's birthday card mailed. (her birthday is Sunday) Then I walked around the house with Lily and did some belly dancing. I hope to read some more of my book and color.

@just4him no. Direct TV has free previews (this weekend there is one of HBO and Cinemax) sometimes. This movie came on before the preview ran out, but ended after the preview ran out. So it didn't tape all the way. I thought it would stretch, but it didn't.

That is a lot of snow, good thing you enjoy it. I would too but alas we have very little snow down my way. We are well into spring here but the temps are really nice right now.

I always thought of Wisconsin as the cheese state. Now I am thinking of it as the snow state, too.

@just4him I did not know it was called the Dairy State. I thought it was called the Cheese State. I love cheese. When I think of Wisconsin, I think of the color orange.

Was an interesting day yesterday. Got quite wet and rainy in the later evening. (Better than the Snow you have been getting). We tried doing Uber eats for the first time, and it was interesting.

I know not many people like snow, especially in April when we're supposed to have spring. I like snow any time of year, especially in winter.

That is a lot of snow. After having warm weather a couple of days ago and rain yesterday, we have a cold snap today with gusty winds.

Yes, we had a three day blizzard here. I thought it was wonderful. But I'm one of few who enjoyed it.
