Maybe I will become a food tester

I signed up online with a couple of companies close to here who do taste testing. It would be interesting to do that. I have done product tests at home sometimes that involved different products through survey panels, but a couple of these sites would require you to come to their site to do the tests..one is McCormick located in the Hunt Valley area of Baltimore. It is not really that close to here, but I could probably arrange to do other things up there if selected. It depends on the payment..it has to be enough to cover the cost of the gas..Some of the companies offer online tests. I did once belong to a popcorn panel for Conagra foods, whereupon "The mission" was to taste several brands of popcorn to evalauate which ones they would sell..Of course, our local stores only have the most boring varieites!

Yeah, but it might not all be good. One time I taste tested soup that was outrageously bad! I told them never to try to sell it to the public!

@mlgen1037 I just got a welcome message from McCormick, one of the food testing centers, and it suggested to go to their Facebook page and one person on there said she hasn't been contacted in two years..so I guess they don't recruit all that often for studies.

One time one of the local market research places had a taste test on salad dressing. It wasn't that exciting, just like the usual brands you get in the stores.

Dollar trees usually get all kinds of different flavors in especially if your stoee is a store with a snack area in it.

Probably not, they just tell you what they have available and if you want to do it fine, if not they move on to the next.
