I have case tomorrow...I will have to argue...
It is 12.56 AM. Which means today actually
I am trying to relax...
Anybody who prays regularly, please pray that I succeed. And the judges pity me...
What am I asking..pity or understanding...whatever...let me win...it matters.
Or let the judge have a marriage to attend, and defer my case.
Whatever...just let this feeling go away...
Are you ever this nervous...this incidentally would be the first case I would be fighting in person and going on the stand...hope I am clear headed.

Wish you the best of luck, Vanny.
What I learned from Zuckerberg was to always say "Senator..." at the beginning of a phrase.
I wonder if it'll help, as it gives you time to think about what you're going to say, and it might also make the judge feel important. "Judge..." or "Attorney..." or "Advocate...", whatever.

Deferral would mean going through all the turmoil again. We'll pray for you to be clearheaded and the judge sympathetic.

@much2say I can feel that way...but the point is...can I control my involuntary function at that point of time, when there is audience. For lawyers it is day in and day out job. For me, it was kind of ...scary thought. The case has been deferred to 8th May. Let us see how it pans out.

@vandana7 I heard when we are focused on the stress as our heart beats strongly, we tend to take short breaths - so during that time we are actually depriving ourselves of oxygen. Breathing in deeply gives us that oxygen and hopefully helps us to relax a bit so we can think straight. I read below that your case has been deferred again - and geez, this has been going on for a while already? Hopefully it will be done and over with soon so you can stop having this over your head!

So far nothing, because the case has been deferred to May 8th. But I guess your prayers helped and a few corrections that I made in the last moment may have been god helping me out after listening to your prayers. Thank you very much for wishing that I win. I love myLotters. They are so sincere in their wishes brings tears to my eyes.

@bagarad :) Thanks ...yeah..I realized that. The case should have been over by second week of January. If the opposite party chooses they can get an extension into July...since the court has summer vacations from May 21st to July 1st. I am mentally prepared for outcome somewhere in August or September.

That is the toughest part. I highlighted in my copy what I wanted to utter in the court without straying, and ensuring that the opposite party did not get a chance to say objections...I was there by 9.30 am, court starts at 10.30 I had skipped breakfast, judge came around 11.15 and there were oh so many cases that I did not get a chance. Case has been deferred to May 8th.
