Helpful Tips: To Make Everyday Life a Bit Easier- Ironing

Have you ironed a button shirt and found it's hard to work that iron around those buttons. Here's a "life hack" which will make ironing shirts a lot less of a hassle. Just flip the shirt inside-out and you can easily iron over that button side. What a great idea. Can't wait to try this one out! Has anyone ever tried this tip? Source- lifehack.org Photo- amazon.com

Many irons have a little groove round the bottom which is supposed to make ironing round buttons easier but this is a good way too.

That's a good tip, although I think it would look better (if you're that picky) if you ironed it on the right side. As Judy Evans said below, irons have small grooves made especially for buttons. As an aside, contrary to some of the other posters, I enjoy ironing. People think I'm strange, but it's relaxing to me.

My grandmother taught me that trick when I was 8 or 9 years old. Now we send our shirts out.

I haven't ironed in ages, but yes, I've ironed button shirts that way and works great.
