Well, you're in luck!!!
It just so happens that I can show you how to find random myLot discussions to respond to that you may otherwise never see.
Of course, there is a possibility the discussion starter may no longer be active here, so you might not get a reply from them, but it's something to try.
Simply enter the following URL with a random number between 3 and 3173627 (the number of this, the latest, discussion). Numbers 1 & 2 no longer exist.
You will get a 'Whoops' page if the number relates to a discussion that no longer exists, but just change the number and try again.
You never know what you'll find...

MyLot roulette, how fun. My problem is not being here enough. I find stuff I want to respond to by going to people I follow and reading things they have written.

It'll be a few days before I have time to try this....today and tomorrow...pack...Monday...load the moving van....Tuesday, drive....

@JolietJake almost...if the moving van is loaded before noon, I'll head out Monday and arrive Tuesday supper time....if not until later it'll be Tuesday morning leave and arrive early afternoon on Wednesday. Then the next long drive will be a few months away and done for pleasure.

@JolietJake Currently, it's around 300 discussions a day with an average of 9 or 10 responses per discussion and about 2 or 3 comments per response on average.

Interesting...myLot used to average over 2,300 discussions per day.
Discussion #3 was made on May 23rd 2006...exactly 7 months later on December 23rd you can find discussion #485,701

@owlwings I don't check daily, but the last few times it had been slightly over 250...about 100 less than a year previously if I remember right

That's interesting. Had no idea you can do it. I just tried it using 3000 and came upon a discussion from 2006 where a guy whose username has the word spiderman is searching for a cricket game he can play on his mobile phone.

Several years back (in a different incarnation) I had this crazy idea I was going to respond to every discussion here...didn't take me long to realize it would be impossible.

@hereandthere Nope, by making valid responses...until I realized I wasn't going to get very far. It took me about 20 to realize it wasn't gonna happen.
