Do you read the ending of a novel first?

I have friends who told me that they will read the end of the novel first.
If they like it, they will read from the start.
I don’t quite agree with them but they said that a lot of people do it as well.
Do you read the ending of the novel first to ascertain if you will like to read the book from the start?

I have never done that. I think people who do that just don't like to read

I tend to read the first page. If I don't enjoy it, I know I probably won't enjoy the rest of it. I could never read the last page until I actually get to the last page. Some people are just bonkers!

Never. If I can't get into the preface of a book, I won't bother reading it. Normally I know by the end of the first chapter whether or not I'll like it.
