It's 'a psychological "process" that Donald J. Trump has used throughout most of his life' (tho 'he' (and/or his writing-partner Tony Schwartz) calls it http://www.mylot.com/post/3174036/confirmation-bias-infects-us-all-a-little "truthful hyperbole") What happens (we all do it a little): we all have 'our beliefs' (all the way from 'Jesus' supernatural blood travels through all time-&-space to wash away our sin-nature' to 'gravity pulls everything to the ground'), and we accept "everything we hear that confirms those beliefs" as true with no other confirming information. (That's the reason most Christians take 'that it's written in The Bible' as "proof" that their belief is valid ) For example: ... nothing comes to mind right now. Can you think of 'something you believe' that people use The Bible to 'prove'?

@mythociate this is about what proof you are trying to ask, isn't it

@Mavic123456 Not exactly ... I am trying to ask 'what things you believe without proof,' I think.
