A guy called Gallie

One of the acts we saw at the Fairbridge Music Festival was a guy called Gallie. He is an Irish folk singer but now lives in Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. We really enjoyed his music and if he organises a tour of Western Australia one day, we’ll try to have him perform in the Music Shack on our property.
Some said he sounded like Mark Knoffler. Someone else said he sounded like Bruce Springsteen but to us, in some songs, he was a dead ringer for (indistinguishable from) Neil Diamond. Certainly we really enjoyed his performance. You can search for him on YouTube if you want to have a listen.

The fact that he is Irish, I like him already. His being a guitarist and a folk singer endears him to me totally.

@JudyEv I did. He is raw and real, I like that music. I don't like too much technology-modulated sound. I like the guitar sound and the voice, or the piano.
Thank you for letting us know. Musicians like him deserve to have their names recognized.

@eileenleyva He is planning an overseas tour in November. Perhaps he will perform at a concert here in September.

I love live music like that! I was able to listen to the whole album. He is great! I would say more like Mark than Neil Diamond.

I'm pleased you took the time to listen to him. I should have put a link but I forgot. Did you think in some songs he sounded like Neil Diamond? I love Mark Knofler's voice and his songs. He has such a gentle voice if you can have such a thing.

Interesting that he was compared to Diamond and Springsteen who are diverse sounding from each other.
