MyLot teaches you restraint

While responding and/or commenting one needs to keep their 'frank' opinion in check lest they should hurt the users. For example, I do not think anyone would say they do not like a photo but prefer to write a polite response or comment. We cannot call a spade a spade here In other words myLot teaches us to be polite.

And because there is no body language or tone of voice you have to be doubly careful. However some members you get to know well enough to have some friendly banter from time to time without causing offence. Don't you agree?

Here we have the opportunity to move on but in our real world it is not always possible to be polite.

It is a good place to practice socially appropriate behavior. And if we cannot say anything nice, we should just be quiet.

You can actually be honest but not in a rude or mean way. There will always be a proper way to disagree on certain things.

You can always report such responses/comments. Here even typing in caps is discouraged.

This is how I am generally anyway - I try to speak in a way that I do not hurt others. But I do think it's easier to "bite my lip" here.

Well someone on here asked a question in their post one time and I answered them honestly and they got angry at me and called me names. I feel that if your going to ask something for an honest answer, then don't being critical of that person when they give you the answer. I wasn't rude with my answer, tried to be as nice as possible and still got yelled at for it so if I can't make a proper comment, I just don't make one.
