Star Jones stirred up some controversy some time ago when she announced that she would not vote for an atheist for president. Would you?

For myself I don't look to see what someone's religion is before voting. I look at what is important. What they stand for, what experience they have, in other words will they do a good job as President. Religion shouldn't be a factor. Then again neither should gender or race but that doesn't stop some from making it an issue. I think some people in this country need to grow up and realize that someone can be a good leader no matter what creed, gender or race they are. That we need to look at the abilities not their religious practices.

This country is run by christians and white people. There alwasy has and always will be a white christian male president, it's part of the biased government.

I would vote for an atheist for President. If they can do the job, it don't matter to me.

Yes, if the person was qualified and would act in the best interests of America. Right now we have a "Christian" as President and I don't think he is doing a good job.

Star Jones should know better -- I thought she was a lawyer. Of course you should vote for an atheist if that person is highly qualified. We do not live in a theocracy; what matters is character, not one's religion.
