I took a few days and met up with my sister in law and niece at Disney World for a little R&R. We had two nights and three full days at the Caribbean Beach Resort staying in the section called Jamaica.
I liked the resort quite well. We had a few Pina Colada's but I prefer the one without the rum. There is quite a big price difference too, so that's on my side. But sitting on the beach with live music and good friends watching the sunset is all good.
None of wanted to go to the parks, it was purely a vaca designed to relax. The most hustling we did was dressing for dinner! We had one meal at The Grand Floridian resort and one at the Polynesian Village resort (we saw the Magic Kingdom's fireworks from there) and the rest of the time we stayed inside the resort and dined at their restaurants. It was lovely.

I would too if I had to travel as far as you do. But it's local for me and I can do the parks anytime. It's neat to know you were there too! I really felt like I was on an island.

@Jeanniemaries I loved that place, I would say a lot better than on the real Caribbean Islands.

The days of running around from dawn to midnight on vacation are fast fading! I love to see and do but this one was really, really a vacation!

Sounds like a wonderful time away to relax. I've only been to Disney once and would love to go back

I do enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but not all in the same visit anymore!

It sounds wonderful. I like all the Disney parks, but I think my favorite is Epcot..great shopping!

This sounds like great fun. It is a nice place to go and just do "nothing" as in, stay out of the parks!
We were going to camp in their park and learned it was $176 for the day. Is that hilarious? No, the camp does not offer something we can't get down the block for $20. But, that is the Disney way!
