Do you want to succeed but you don't know how? Have you tried failure? How can failure be the key to success? You see, sometime back someone said: If at first you don't succeed, try and try again. Very few people succeed without a few failures. The key to success is not to let a few failures stop you from continuing to try again and again until success is achieved!
The Rebound is a CNNMoney series featuring prominent business leaders who have overcome career failures.

You can learn from failure. There's definitely a lesson there. That's where you can succeed. When you fail, you learn what doesn't work.

Exactly! I think it is was Thomas Edison that failed over a thousand times on his lightbulb. When asked about his failures, I think he said that he hadn't failed but learned 1000 different ways how it will not work.

Failure can be key to success only if you take your failure as a motivation to work hard

Failure is only an obstacle if you don't learn from it. And most people who succeed have failed many, many times. It's sometimes why, for example, it irks me when people hate the rich so much. Most people don't know that many of the rich failed multiple times, lost life savings and more, before they finally got to where they are. It's hard work. Most people give up after the first try.

Yes, we should not envy those that are successful but learn from them.

@porwest What if he stole it? Cars have never been my thing, so I may not even notice that it is a BMW. To me, a car was just a means to get from point A to point B. I've done just about everything that I wanted to do and so my success these days is trying to avoid getting sick and have enough energy for each day.

In fact, there's nothing called failure; failure is quitting trying again. If you have not succeeded from the first time, try another time, and one should always keep an eye for other opportunities. :)

I agree! Failure happens only when one quits trying. Sometimes, failure teaches us to try something else.

There are a lot of people who have succeeded after too many failures. They key is not giving up actually. Not the failure itself.

I think it's always been that way if you read about the lives and stories of the very rich, I think it's got something to do with tenacity and believing in what you know and what needs to be done but it also has the element of luck I guess.

Yes, tenacity and belief has worked for many. I think that Colonel Saunders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame had that experience. Do you know his story?

It is possible to succeed if we try again and again. But we can't succeed if we don't try. So we can only keep working hard and never give up.

Recently, Union Public Service Commission (Government Administrative) Exams were conducted. It is seen that quite many of the candidates succeeded after two, three and even four attempts.

When we fail we know the wrong way, so all we have to do is go on the other way. Fail is important to succeed later.

@1hopefulman They say he had a cot and slept at his lab quite a bit. Someone who accumulated over 2,000 patents worldwide had no time for sleep, I visited his Florida winter estate and toured his museum. A lot of excellent history there!

This is the way I see it. If we fail to achieve our own goals, then we succeed in achieving Gods. We are here according to God's plan, not our own.
