How is your handwriting?

Is it good, bad or indifferent? My handwriting is legible to me..but not sure how many others could read it. It is not as bad as others I have seen however. My parents used to make me practice my hand writing as it was bad..and I would write a couple of paragraphs and show them. They would make me re write it, and I would show them the same paragraphs! lol..I was always a sneak! However after awhile they caught on! I wish I had beautiful handwriting instead of barely legible!

My handwriting has seriously deteriorated over the years. My signature is garbage these days.

I was a teacher, so it had to be good. If I were a doctor, then I wouldn't have had to worry at all.

@DianneN SPED self-contained govt, history, literacy..my background is actually in counseling, but you know how desperate school districts can get. They need to fill a quota at times.

Mine wasn't good as a kid. We had penmanship in school and my grade wasn't great. However, it was always legible to the average reader. Now, as I've aged, my handwriting has gotten a bit worse. I type everything on the computer before sending out any letters.

@just4him Yes, if I have to handwrite something I have to work at it to make it look decent and be legible.

Mines good / nice, if trying. Have gotten many compliments on it. But if I don't care, then it's kinda sloppy but still legible

@snowy22315 Board exams were handwrittern then that is why I did not take the risk. They said that board examiners won't bother reading your answers if your handwriting was bad and would flunk you outright.

@snowy22315 Does you hand cramp all up after having to rewrite over and over again your handwriting? So are your parents around and telling you still to rewrite things?

They are around, but they have given up trying to make me do things like that for sure. I am, who I am. I have always wondered if breaking my wrist as a child had something to do with it. My wrist was broken when others were writing. I read somewhere that it can affect your range of motion.

@snowy22315 snowy, I am sure breaking your wrist can have an effect on things. Was it ever fixed or still the same?

My handwriting is a combination of printing and script. That's what taking notes in college does to your penmanship.
