The Week That Passed Before This Week

The week that passed - April 30- May 6, was such a busy week.
April 29-May 2 was the wake for my father. He was cremated May 3.
I was still on leave from the office May 4, because I had to catch up with my lost sleep, from being at the wake of my father. Then, May 5 evening was my hubby’s auntie’s birthday celebration at a private videoke room.
May 6, was a whole day affair for the Grand Alumni Homecoming of my high school alma mater. Although we are not one of the jubilarians this year, we attended because it’s fun to gather with my batchmates.
After the program in the early evening, we went to a posh restaurant where our doctor batchmate treated us to her advanced birthday celebration.
And when I came back to the office, my work has piled up.
But I am happy, I am finally finished with all my piled up works and also the many notifications here.
One thing, I haven't caught up with - my lost sleep.

Wow! you definitely had a very busy week .. I hope you have managed to catch up on your sleep by now ..
I'm glad to know that there's a place there for cremation.. Because my husband and I were talking about living out the rest of our lives over there and we prefer to be cremated when the time comes .. We do think and plan ahead .. so that our children don't have to worry about anything ..

@sunrisefan No, it is just 30-40 minutes ride by jeepney. By private car, it's only 20 minutes.
What I mean is that he understands why I have to stay overnight on a Saturday, just to be with her through the night also.

@SIMPLYD Surely your husband will understand because your mother would be lonely by herself. Is your hometown so far away from where you live?

I was hoping i can recover my lost sleep after the cremation. However, it is not the case, even now.
I get to awaken at3 or 4:00 in the morning. So early, that I was able to go back to sleep for a little time already since on weekdays, I have to awaken at 5;00.
