I would like to lose a minimum of five pounds before my knee surgery the end of July although I'd be have happier if I could lose fifteen since that's what I gained back when I was over the three months after my first replacement surgery
I've been working on this since eating too many goodies at Easter and have been pretty much holding steady at the same weight even though I they to steer clear of the goodies.
This is a BLT sandwich minus the bread and lettuce. I tried it in a low carb pita . It wasn't too bad, actually. I was still hungry but we'll be having Mexican for supper soon ish once my husband returns home from work.

@MarshaMusselman I do not follow any kind of diet. I only watch the calories intake and I avoid fatty foods.

@LadyDuck overall I do the same except I watch my carb intake instead. Had I started away from Easter goodies with what I bought at the store and what I ate for the meal I probably could have maintain my weight better and lost sooner.

Ahh, yes but with Atkins it's allowed and a free carb. I don't eat bacon as much as the rest of the population here. In fact it's been well over a year since I had any.

I like pita breads - I would have thought the lettuce was quite a healthy component of the BLT - the bacon would be the part many might consider least healthy as an option

The lettuce would bea good part but I didn't have any on the house. That's why it wasn't included.

Not for everyone no. In fact it may be the going off of diets or eating plans that result in those or other ailments. Also not losing necessary weight attributes to a multitude of problems and health issues as well .

Thanks, in the two days I've been away from my computer desk and getting to sleep earlier I've lost about three.

I think a low carb pita would be a good way to eat it. I know about the holding steady part. I can't seem to get it in gear to really lose weight..I have to discipline myself and it is so hard for me.

I love pita bread. That reminds me I need to add it to the grocery list.
