Yesterday there was a horrible accident in Morris County, New Jersey. A school bus carrying many students and teachers were on its way for an outing and collided with a dump truck on a major highway.
The bus was headed for an outing for the day which should have been fun for everyone, instead, so many people were hurt and ended up in the hospital with a few dead.
This is a major highway in New Jersey going across the state connecting New York and Pennsylvania. Route 80 is always crowded and I use to travel that road everyday for at least 25 years. My daughter and grandson live right in the middle of the area and she said traffic was horrible for hours.

It's a crying shame that so many bad things are happening to our children. Shootings, bus accidents, abuse, etc. It's a sad time we live in where our children have to live in fear of everything. They can't just be carefree anymore like we all used to be when we were kids.

@moffittjc You are lucky. I lived in a gated community in Pennsylvania but always locked my doors. I guess I was use to it from the way I was raised.

@ramapo17 Here is the story;
Several prior complaints were made against the charter company behind a plane crash that killed 110.

Yes, Route 80 being a major roadway there is much traffic. I've traveled on that road myself. Very sad occurrence.

I lived on route 80 most of the time. I always worked at least an hour from every place I worked. The sun would be in my eyes all the way to my destination in the morning and just the opposite later on my return trip. Every time we go up to visit my kids in New Jersey we always look around and ask how we ever traveled that road everyday for years. If you can drive in New Jersey or New York, you can drive anywhere.

@dgobucks226 I don't think I have met many people that were born or raised down here. Lots of people here from the northeast.

@ramapo17 So true! I am sure you fit right in with the Florida traffic since there are many transplanted Northerners there, lol.
