The birthday party weekend is off to a good start

Yesterday I tried out the new 100 foot extension cord I bought for my weed whacker. I connected it to the two cords I already have and was able to do a good portion of the property that shows from the road. Between that and mowing it took 3 hours.
Today my son and I are all caught up on cyber school so we have no work to do over the weekend. I’m spending some time with my little sun conure while writing this. Haven’t had much time to spend with the parrots lately.
I finished the mowing today and am exhausted but the lawn looks wonderful! I got laundry hung out on the line and did the dishes. I bleached the bathroom ceiling where mold forms. I wanted to get everything nice for my daughters friends who are coming tomorrow.
For her birthday party tomorrow we are going to an arcade followed by browsing a record store which has comics and video games too. For dinner we are going to eat at a new pizza place.
After we get home we will have cake, ice cream and soda. My daughters friend is bringing a board game for them all to play until whenever they have to go home.
My daughter has been so excited for this and I am really looking forward to it too just knowing she will be happy and having fun.
Photo is of the baby robin in the nest outside. It’s now 9 days old.
I’m off now to give the puppy a bath so she will be fresh and clean for visitors who she will probably hate lol

@shaggin That's great to hear. Of course you cannot really go wrong, an arcade is a fun venue and pizza, who doesn't love that?
And after all of the arranging and planning its great that you could sit down and enjoy visiting for a bit at the party.

@allen0187 it should be a lot of fun and we are both very excited. Going to buy soda in the morning to chill. I vacuumed two rooms today and will do another tomorrow before the party. Everything seems to be going smoothly for the planning!

@infatuatedbby I have 3 1\2 acres but I only have a push mower so I only mow about 1\4 - 1\2 of it. I break it up over 2 days as well.

@shaggin Wow ! That's a lot. :) Homes here are like..... 4,000 - 10,000 sq feet for the entire lot including the house if that!

Oh my having to weed whack it all then cut it would be twice the work. Unfortunately my mower doesn't like to cut well it leaves a strip uncut right down the middle!even so after pushing it across the lawn forward I have to pull it back across the lawn through the same spot then it will look nice. It is a lot of work. It's great exercise though I try not to complain much.

@Srbageldog thank you very much! She had a great time at her party as did her friends. Today is her actual birthday and her brother and I will be taking her out to eat.

@snowy22315 everyone had a good time at the party. One girls mom was nervous and kept texting her. She was the first one to go home. She left around 7. The other girl left at 9 and one girl I couldn't get to leave until after 10pm.

I vacuumed the rest of the house today. Everything looks tidy and clean. Popping on mylot for a few minutes while the hair mask is sitting on my hair. My daughter and I just got back from the store where we got soda and chips for the party. Only an hour and a half until people come I’m so excited!

@Shavkat those other two eggs have not hatched and should have by now so for some reason they didn't survive. It was very cold when she laid the eggs so maybe that was one only one survived and hatched. There were originally 4 eggs but one egg went missing.

@DianneN those eggs will never hatch if they haven't already. Makes me sad to see them. I guess I should take them out of the nest and bury them before they start to stink.

@andriaperry she had a wonderful party and today she, her brother and I are going out for her actual birthday. She opened her presents before school this morning. I intend to !ake a post about it later tonight.
