What color will you wear when you attend to a wedding?

Today it is Prince Harry's wedding. I saw some celebrities attended to his wedding ceremony from the news. Such as David Beckham and his wife attended to it. I am a little surprised to see that his wife wore like that because this color is so dark and I don't really think it suits the wedding. Here we will try to avoid the color like that when we attend to the wedding. It is better to wear colorful or joyful color to wedding. Of course different culture has different habits.

I've never minded what color I wear to the wedding. I know the custom in China is to wear festive colors.

I agree with you. Its the same here. Black is avoided when going to celebration --- but not so anymore.

@youless I would make a beautiful dress for myself when I was young. But now I have to wear whatever hides some of my imperfections.

I will wear 'Barong Tagalog.' It is national cloth for men in my country. Image Credit: barongsrus.com

Black is allowed here in our country for a wedding event, except it is stated in the invitation not to wear that color.

@youless I am unsure if they still follow traditions since we live in different parts of the country. But here in the capital, wearing black in weddings is being accepted. I wore black in my friend's wedding.

I was always told the color never to wear at a wedding was black. It's interesting that people do. For a summer wedding I would wear a light (but no white) color, but for a winter wedding I would probably wear blue.

You are right and this is why I felt so surprised to see her dress like that. Fortunately the high heels are red rather than black. Or it would be really inappropriate.

I guess, it is different everywhere but here dark colors are vet popular. They leave the bright colors to the bride and bridesmaids.

If I were in a wedding,I would wear the wedding color motif. Usually the color motifs in my country are neutral colors.
