Yesterday there was a post about a transgender talk show hostess woman feeling offended because a man did not want to kiss her. What shocked me most were some of the answers. I think that everyone is entitled to date or kiss whoever he/she wants and that no one has to do it if they don´t want it. And if I am asked if I want to date or kiss a transgender man, I will say no and that is not transphobic. Because I will also say no to dating and kissing a lot of heterosexual men, including some that are powerful and rich. Many people although answered that post with very despective comments about transgender. And that is a lack of respect that does beyond dating or not dating. As for myself, right this minute after I finish my chores, I will block those mylotters. I no not want to have any relation with people who don´t respect others. What are your views about this? Aren´t we all supposed to live in peace in this planet?

Kissing is a very personal thing and both the kisser and kisee must agree to it, I think. I can't imagine disrespecting someone because they are trans.

It seems that the hostess who was trans wanted the man to say on air that he would date her and kiss her. And as he said he wouldn´t, she accused him of being transphobic

@marguicha so do I, as I either don't care for the title and first line, or I don't care for the poster. it's okay. we don't have to write to everyone.

@marguicha - yes. Its not an offensive or disrespecting gesture, if someone doesnt want to be kissed, then he/she has the right to not be kissed.

You're right, dear friend. Each of us has the right to choose. It is also their right to choose to be transgender. It is our right to kiss others or not.

@caopaopao IT pisses me more when people are mean about minorities. Although in this particular case, the hostess was very stupid.

In my country it is used a peck on the cheek (socially) but will not even touch a vendor or anyone you don´t know. But it has nothing to do with genre. And if I don´t want to do it, I will not do it either.

I agree with you, everyone has the right to decide who he/she wants to date. But being disrespectful and hating people because they are transgender goes way beyond that. Transgender people are not hurting anyone by existing. They have the right to be here too, and to not be subjected to hate from others. I may not understand transgenderism, but that does not make it okay to be disrespectful or hateful towards them.

I wholly agree. I think that the only person I have to care about his gender (among other things) would be my significant other.

I'm all for people having a say in who they kiss and that the possible recipient has to agree to it too. Its a gift and should be mutually desired/ wanted. I feel strongly anyone should be free to be who they are snd seek out a companion that makes them happy ( as long as they are a legal adult). The world has to much hate. We don't need to add to more negative garbage. Be happy. Love everyone! I know a few people who are transgender. I support them being whoever they want to be.
