myLotters Helping myLotters

I see it all the time here on myLot where fellow myLotters will offer help or advice to another for almost anything. I'm always looking for a good book to read and even though I have so many I could read in my "to read" pile I'm open for new authors, books and suggestions. Recently my/our friend @amadeo (Alfredo Rossi) suggested I read Camino Island by John Grisham. I know Fredo reads quite a bit and usually I like what he's reading but I hadn't read a Grisham book in ages. Well, I have to say it was one of the best books I've read in awhile. Quick reading because it was a page turner. I was caught up in the story right from the beginning and I was sorry when it ended. So thank you Fredo for the book suggestion. What should I read next? Have you ever gotten a good book suggestion from a fellow myLotter?

@Marilynda1225 I have checked Amazon (both in France and Italy), the book for the moment is available only in English. I will wait a few weeks and see if a French or Italian translation is available, if not I will but the original version.

@Marilynda1225 It is nice that you had this book. For now, I am also catching up reading novel books lately. I am planning to collect novel books and install a mini-library. I also like the works of Stephen King. You might have time to check it, too.

@Shavkat I've read many Stephen King books over the years. Making yourself a mini library sounds like a worthwhile investment.

I am very specifically into history books about England but I have just ordered a book from Abe Books. It is called The Traitor's Wife and it is about Benedict Arnold's wife. I am hoping it will be good. I also bought America's First Daughter about Thomas Jefferson's daughter, if you would like, I will let you know once I have read them whether they are page turners or not.

Good for him for making a great suggestion. I have gotten more help or guidance may be a better reference, for cooking and baking things. Just little hints here and there from a few of my most trusted friends, Izzy and Anna to name just 2 of them. I'm grateful for their wisdom.

Everyone here has been a great help to me too and I certainly enjoy the tips and suggestions I've gotten. I could probably write many posts just on things I've learned here. What a wonderful world of myLot and how we've become friends even though many of us live in different countries

I'm glad it proved to be a good book. John Grisham is a very good author. I've read several of his books. Yes, I did get a book suggestion from another myLotter @CK109 for the book A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I really didn't expect to like it, but her review of the book had me ordering it on Amazon and I got the other two in the trilogy as well. It's a very good series. Also a page turner.

I think John Grisham is a great author. I think the baking mystery series by Joanne Fluke seem interesting. I am going to go to the library sometime soon and get some good books..The Kindle freebies are not especially interesting to me.

My husband is reading it now. He saves me all books he thinks I'd enjoy. He loves this one, too. MyLot is a wonderful place for all kinds of advice and sharing advice. I've gotten some wonderful travel advice from many friends in Singapore, India, and the Philippines.

On sites like this I always see quite a lot of people refer to these as communities. As such, communities tend to work together to help out the entire population of the community as it supports the entire community in a positive way. So, it makes sense that we would act here in a similar manner.
