"I Commend Your Honesty in Admitting You're a Troll"

The title of this discussion is the comment I made to a post by a "newbie" or is it JJ's old nemesis? (Judging by the comment of JJ on the post, "The Cockroach" is getting on JJ's nerves.) The discussion dealt with Trump's blocking tweets not to his liking and being ruled against by a Federal judge. Part of the post read "Yeah the stupid jester court... said you guys can't be blocked.. But me and other pro Trump trolls.." Most would side with the court's decision but I will play the devil's advocate and say politics had a hand in it. Do you agree this is a first amendment issue and because Trump is a public official makes his tweeter account a public forum? Does he not have the right to block tweeters just like other users of twitter?

If he wants the same treatment as the other users, he simply has to use Tweeter as a simple US citizens and not as the US President. Be like the others, you will get the same treatment, period.

@josie_ He will continue to use Twitter as it was his personal instrument to troll the others, but he refuses to be "trolled", childish.

I don't think the court's ruling will stop Trump from using twitter as a platform to attack his perceived "enemies".

@LadyDuck _His orange translucent skin should give you an indication of how onion-skinned he is. Now I'm being childish for my comment.

I said in a reply to JJ's post that this is going to end up in the Supreme Court, which is just stupid. A judge in Kentucky ruled that our governor can block people on his Twitter account. Obviously those are opposing opinions, so one of them is wrong. I prefer to live and enjoy life than worry about who's blocking who on Twitter.

@FourWalls If anyone twists, has nothing good and kind to say about all the good done by the President of USA, I just block them out. Period.

Another reason why people's attention are diverted from more pressing matters. It's a circus and the clowns are running amok.

He is your president. Although I believe his public tweets does not necessarily represent the views of the majority of the American people.

Trump can block anyone as a citizen. His trouble is he only wants tweets that agree with him. That's impossible unless he brainwashes everyone.

I think Trump CAN block whoever he wants just like every other American citizen has the right to. Look, if people get downright nasty and mean, and they CAN, who wants to deal with irrational people?

Genius borders on irrationality or is it insanity? Didn't Trump boast about his intellect? They should fit right in with his mental capacity.

@josie_ Trump is way smarter than people will ever give him credit for. The proof is in his accomplishments and in the way he goes about negotiations. Tariffs weren't really about tariffs. Trade deals weren't about trade wars. NK negotiations weren't about going to war with NK. And the list goes on.

I don't pay attention to his tweets. I don't care what he does, blocks, can't block, rulings, etc. I think its all the way around crazy. I do wish that someone would proofread his tweets before he sends them though.

Doesn't he have two accounts, one public (as president) and one private (as person/businessman)? Then I guess rules should be applied differently to each profile. I don't know what has been going on. I would suggest him to create a third account for trolling, just to be sure.

I said he had full right of blocking the ones who did not like or felt should be there but JJ said his account is public so public has the right to say what they like. I think this is not Trump but his media experts manage such accounts.

@josie_ Technically yes but an official account cannot deny access to anyone. Even political opposition has its right to say what it felt in matters related to public interest. In case of our politics Twitter has become the 'ground of war' in between the top politicians and their supporters.

@suni51 This will probably attract more anti-Trump comments in his twitter account. I imagine him accusing these comments as fabrications of his political opponents.

This is a first of it's kind and will be use as a reference in similar cases in the future. If ever it reach the US supreme court, the side which gives a better argument will win the case. Personally I think twitter users even if they are public figures should have the right to choose their followers.

I am not pro-Trump but I agree. Twitter has a setting option that can make an account private seen only by followers. One can conclude that the owner of an account can choose who they allow into that account.
