What happened to spring?!

Here in Minnesota we seemed to have jumped from winter to summer in a big hurry. After getting dumped on with 16-17 inches of snow the third weekend of April, as Memorial Day approaches... we are experiencing a high of 100 degrees F and humid tomorrow and have had upper nineties all week! Kind of unusual for this time of year. But then again, the weather always seems to be a wild card here. I just wish we could have had more light jacket/50s-60s at least for a few weeks! How are things where you are? Any big plans for Sunday?

Although I haven't got the foggiest idea about the temperatures you've mentioned*, I can tell you that it is also unusually hot in central Europe. *Fahrenheit is used only in the United States and associated territories (Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands), the Bahamas, Belize, the Cayman Islands and Palau.

@TheHorse Haven't I made myself clear? This topic is taboo for you. Forever! My comment was meant only for the member maezee.

95 F is about 35 C. Pretty hot. It's about 72 F here, which is about 21 or 22 C, I think.

It's warm out today, for the first time in eight or nine days.

Two days ago, it was 92 degrees here in our part of Michigan. Yesterday, it was 62degrees, a 30 degree difference in 24 hrs! Today, it's around 62 degrees with threats of a possible rain. We are playing it by ear, if it stays clear we will have a cook out tomorrow:) The Memorial Day parade is at 11:00A in the morning.

It sounds funny that you had snow and then it went hot shortly after this. Yes, you have missed out the time of spring, Yes, your weather is like a wild card. It rained here this afternoon however yesterday after lunch it got really hot and sunny. It means a lot cooler today I have noticed.

Life is not easy here in Delhi as temperature here has reached to 115 F recently last few days. Its very tough to go out in such heat.

We also jumped right into summer. Not much of a spring at all.

Yeah, here in Texas, I think we had 1 week of actual Spring @maezee . We're hitting the 100's too and it looks like it's gonna be a nasty summer. Hopefully not like 2011 where we had over 71 days of 'straight' 100's.

I guess spring decided to hibernate this year. I am in no rush for summer temps, yet they are already here. One day it's nice and cool, another day it is unbearably hot. What gives?

We had alot of 40-50s for winter. Instead of the usual 20s - 30s. Though we did have them off an on. Weve been 50s - 60s the last few weeks and 75 last two days. Back to 56 today.

Isn't it strange? Spring took some time to arrive - then left in a real hurry.

There were years when we had 6 rounds of SpringAutumn. The weather lately is simply weird.

I hate that. Here in PA it seems to do the same thing lately. In May I got out my coolest summer clothes that I usually don’t take out until August! Crazy weather!

I think that is the effect of global warming. We used to have dry and wet seasons only and for a specific period of time, but since the problem of global warming, at times there are advance rains

I see you do have the same thoughts regarding this awful heat wave. I'm staying indoors. No way I'm going out in 95 degree heat plus heat index and humidity.
