Almost a Walk in the Rain

We went to the park yesterday and I really enjoyed my walk on the shady trail. I was lucky I didn't get soaked. I loaded books to take to the book box and we went between showers. I wasn't sure I could walk but I keep a pair of walking shoes in the car.
It was raining when we got there and we waited in the car. I wanted to get the books stashed in the book box, but suddenly the clouds rolled away and the sun came out. I decided I'd take a chance so I put on my walking shoes, disposed of the books and took off.
It was cool on the trail after all the rain and just a little muddy. Tiny nats were out in full force and I had to fight with them but I barely got back to the car before the rain started pouring down.
It's rained off and on today. Alberto might be nearly through with us. I hope so.

Blue skies and sunshine all day today. It was still quit cool with the wind from the north (off the Northumberland Strait). Tomorrow it is supposed to be much warmer.

Nice that you get your errands done and were able to walk and get some exercise fighting with the gnats.

@RubyHawk I don't like to use any sprays also. Do they bite or are they just a nuisance?

@1hopefulman Just a nuisance, trying to get in your eyes, nose, ears and landing on your skin. Very irritating.

We had our first sunny day without rain since May 13th. More than two full weeks of rain without any sunshine at all. Hard to believe we got that much rain and aren't completely underwater! Our rain chances through the weekend are only at 50%, before jumping back up to 80% again starting next week

@RubyHawk Yesterday was a nice sunny day, although we did have some isolated thunderstorms pop up in a few places. I was just happy to have sunshine for once! I did get woken up this morning at about 5:00am due to a thunderstorm, but it was brief and I was able to fall back asleep.
