And We're Back!

Sorry for not being around the last several days. My husband and I took off suddenly when we were invited to stay with friends at their condo in Newport, Rhode Island.
Suffice it to say that we had such a wonderful time. We just returned home and are weary. We had dinner on the way home and just unpacked. I'll try to myLot until bath time and bed.

Well lucky you, I love Newport. I was considering it for our getaway this week for our anniversary but I decided on someplace else.

Actually, I have to meet up with some real friends later to go shopping. I prefer to shop alone, so I can think straight, but will have lots of laughs with the girls and a nice lunch. I am saving my real shopping for Boston where I plan to do some real damage for my birthday weekend.

I had a good weekend. I introduced my grandson to people he already knew, but not in the capacity he knew them. He loves to go to a rock shop near his home, and I've taken him there a couple times, only waited for him in the car. My cousin messaged me on FB that she's having an event coming up with vendors and looks to be an exciting time for her. She makes jewelry from rocks. Anyway, I took my grandson to introduce him to his cousin who owns the rock shop, and I met her grandson, who is also a good friend of his and the same age. He was blown away they are cousins.

Mine was nice and quiet. My neighbor needs an ObamaPhone so she came over and I'll be helping her with it tomorrow.

I feel sorry for her. When she gets her ObamaPhone things will get a lot easier for her. She'll be able to be in touch with her family so she can get the help she needs.

Good to have you back!! Great that you enjoyed your trip. I am also not so active here. School has reopened and I am back to work. Have my mom here. So all busy and settling down after summer holidays. Getting too little time to stay online.
