Trying to Stay Positive

We got the horrible news today that the cost to fix the A.C. in our car is going to be about $1000. I am a little discouraged, but also a bit more determined. Maybe this will inspire me to work harder and set money aside. It just sucks that I live in Arizona and do deliveries. At least I have a goal to reach now.

I think it's a 95 Lexus SE or SC. It's actually pretty nice. We needed a car last minute and got it from my fiance's best friend for $1000. It has been given TLC, but I think he let his ex-girlfriend drive it and she was in an accident. They think that might be what caused the part to fall off.

Oh, no! I feel so sorry for you with having to pay around $1000 for car repairs. I suggest having an emergency fund of around that sort of amount. It gets very hot in Arizona so I am sure that you need air conditioning. Good luck.

We are on a very low budget right now. But the plan is to have me do Postmates during the evening because we live near a college town (Tempe). So I can try and set money aside from that.

Yikes. It gets pretty hot there doesnt it? Is the car worth putting that amount of money into? Sorry to hear all this. Was it your AC condenser that went out?

They said that something fell off and they have to take it completely apart to find the piece. I think? It's my uncles work, so I trust them. They took care of the oil change and testing the ac for free. It was saying it was overfilled, and they took everything out and refilled it and it had the same issue. The car is a nice car. It's a Lexus. I want to say a 95 that was treated with love and care. We got it from my fiance's best friend. There is damage to the side of the car and they said that might have knocked the piece off. It was a little confusing.
