I met a friend of mine at the VA one day which is located on the south side of Beaumont Hospital in El Paso TX. As I got out of my car I saw this view and of course I had to whip out that ole camera and get a shot.
The Guadalupe Mountains are in the distance and it's at least 110 miles from where I was standing.
Can you see for miles and miles too?

It's really a great view and one that's not covered by tall commercial buildings. The city I live in is developing very fast with a lot of construction here and there. The good thing about living in this city is that no really tall building can be built because it's not plausible, thus I can still see miles and miles away and I could see the beautiful view of islands and those things.

@rebelann The Philippines is an archipelago and no this city isn't on a slope.

Are you on a slope or something like that? I have never been to the Philippines but I do know they are a cluster of Islands, correct?

i don't since this is a residential area of the capital. but i would prefer clear blue skies than low clouds and humidity here.

@rebelann it's sticky. i remember a visitor from singapore who said although it's just as hot there, but when she's here the heat makes her sweat.

I would think heat would make most of us sweat @hereandthere but to add to that the humidity makes it much worse.

The sky is so beautiful out in Texas. I love the clouds and the blue sky. We have lots of trees here on the east coast. I live in the middle of the state, an area called the Sandhills, no mountain views here.

@rebelann Yes, when I first went out west I was shocked at the wide open spaces and I felt really out of place but then I opened my eyes to the sky and fell in love. I am not sure if I could live there without the trees though. I think I am so in love with my trees that I could not leave them.

I can understand that @Shellyann36 trees are so beautiful and I am trying to get some to thrive here, I need the shade plus the oxygen they give me.

It really depends on where we are standing when we are looking. As we are in the woods here with plenty of mountains around some days you can't see anything but what is directly in front of you.

We really enjoy our area, but it is a lot of work too!

It surprises me that the Guadalupe Mountains is 110 miles far away from you.If you didn't told us it,I would think it is at most dozens of miles away.
