Apparently two am is when all the fun news stories show up on google news. I was scrolling through the stories a few minutes ago and found this one. It made me laugh. What do you think the b stands for?
The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is getting ready for a new name.

I read that they just threw in the "International House of Pancakes" to make it fit the original name. It started out as "I Hop" because 70% of their regular customers had lost a foot to diabetes.

Most likely a publicity scheme. You don't change a brand name like that.

It doesn't matter what it stands for, IHOB is a terrible name, as it just doesn't roll off the tongue as nicely as IHOP does. I'm not one of those people who freak out when my favorite business changes it's name, but this is just not a wise decision on their part.

I could live without them all together. Id rather give my money to Waffle House or Dennys

I can't imagine them changing the name after all these years, breakfast is all I can think of for a b but not sure I believe it.

No! They can't do that... the International House of Pancakes is an American icon... why would they change it? It could be a publicity stunt and they won't really change it. I hope.

They can do whatever they want. I don't see what everybody is freaking out so much.
