Fire and rain !

A burning desire;
A heart on fire.
Reaching for the skies;
Ignoring the lies.
Unfulfilled dreams;
Survival by any means.
Standing in the pouring rain;
Fully aware there is nothing to gain.
Buffeted and tossed;
Rejected and lost.
Struggling upstream;
None can hear the scream.
Silently it rises;
Hurt and regret it excises.
The roaring fire consumes;
The raging river exhumes.
From the depths of a weary soul;
The real story is yet to be told.
