I Bought A New Phone

First off, i'll admit it, my new phone is wayyy smarter than I am. I have no real idea as to what i'm reading or doing at times. I think it has to do with the way as to how every manufacturer terms some of their words. But I am catching on.
I think I got a good deal. Since I decided to get off the account I was shareing, I qualified as a new first timer which got me the phone at half price.
On the first day, my GF tried calling me, I literally did not know how to answer the phone! I thought I was "answering" correctly, but apparently I need to swipe the green answer button to the side, not just simply press it, if I want to answer.
Over the weekend I was overwhelmed by all the "stuff" thats already on the phone. Apps that i'll never use are on it also, such as facebook, wish and google pay.
The first thing I did like a lot on this new phone is the camera. Wow! The picture I used in my last post, the pre-school graduation, was taken with my new phone. Its got options that i've been playing with every now and then. Right now i'm just experimenting with it, soon i'll break out with my tripod and start using using the advanced features which require a steadier hand.

Did you previous have a flip phone if I recalled? A big upgrade and the half off discount is very appealing! Though, I don't think I can do Android though - it's just not mobile friendly to me in my opinion! But nonetheless the S9 is a great phone overall. There are tons of quirks, take it easy & you'll soon to be glued to your phone lol!! What color did you get? Is it a Navy?

@Plethos Black is a nice classic color. My fiances phone is black too but we're iPhone people. Big upgrade! My mom went from flip phone old school to iPhone & she originally was like nah I don't need it, but now she uses her phone every single day! Lol

@infatuatedbby - i used my gf"s 2 day amazon to buy a screen protector and case. Im happier now that i put some of my music on the sd card.

Congratulations on having your new android phone. Not really an android fan here as I am an iPhone user and I'm using the iPhone X at the moment. I just find android too complicated and unsafe. Nevertheless, having a Samsung S9 at half the price is such a good deal and I'm sure you're going to have fun with that phone.

@Plethos I didn't expect you to be as I see your new phone is a Samsung. But I have had high ends of Samsung phones and I couldn't really stand them. I used to have two phones and when I hear a certain high end Samsung is good I would usually get them until that exploding one which is the 7 if I could recall. I returned it and vowed never to have a Samsung phone again.

@toniganzon - any li-ion battery is in danger of exploding at high altitudes, especially when its in the luggage bay where the altitude has a massive efffect on tight containers due to air pressure.

Although I have a smartphone, it is probaly not nearly as smart as your phone is! Some day I will look for a better phone, but right now this one works for me.

Hope you really enjoy your new phone. I have never had a smartphone and I just use a plain good old mobile phone which is enough for me since I do all of my work on my desktop PC.
