Rockfish in this part of the country usually means striped bass, but other parts of the country and the world, it can be an ocean fish. All rockfish are species of fish tha like to hide amongst the rocks, hence the name. Friend was down here helping me with car shopping and after a stressful day we decided to go out to dinner. We went to a local place, that I probably haen't been to for 10 years, not the greatest place, but it's casual and friendly and the food and prices are pretty good. Have you ever had rockfish?

I probably have and didn't even realize it.
Of course I am not a big fan of fish. I like shrimp, salmon and crab meat though.

@snowy22315 I've had tilapia, I'm sure I've tried flounder. I like whatever is in fish sticks but of course that's processed.
Oh I like Tuna, but then again I've never had an actual tuna fish just the meat that comes in the pouch or can.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I do not lke flounder. Tilapia is not especially healthy. I have eaten all types of fish, but I would say seafood is my favorite.

It was pretty good. I order it lots of places when they have it on the menu. It's something a little different and delicious.

I have never eaten any fish but I do know what a bass is. I have never heard it called a rockfish but that makes sense why they call it that. I've never seen it served in restaurants though it's usually just something local guys catch while fishing and cook up and eat.

It's pretty yummy. I prefer it over catfish as it doesn't have all the bones. Most catfish is filled with bones.

Yeah, I don't know for sure where this comes from. They catch lots of bass in this lake, but don't know if they sell it commercially or not. 99 percent are recreational fishermen.
