What constitutes an "Interesting Discussion"?

I was looking through the 'Interesting Discussions' list and couldn't find even one I'm interested in. Who gets to decide which discussions are interesting and which ones are not? More importantly, mine never seem to make the list!
Is this a conspiracy?

Hi Lucinda. I have no idea too. Maybe the admin or based on likes and responses?

About this topic I think there is a mention in the FAQ section or in the Guide lines @Starmaiden ! I think this has some thing to do with number of likes and responses, which exactly I don't remember. This is displayed according to that algorithm and no body has any role in selecting them! Thanks!

Seems, going by what I have read here in responses made, they depend on tags.

Yes, I have to admit, I rarely see anything in the interesting discussions that I find interesting. One day it was all about how many hours people slept or something.
